Lake Erie Perch Trips

IMG_0834.JPG

Cast-A-Way Fishing Charters, perch fishing on Lake Erie provides an incredible experience as anglers often enjoy the thrill of catching two, and at times even three, perch simultaneously using efficient spreaders.

April through October is the perfect time to target Lake Erie Yellow Perch, which is considered the ultimate table fare. These fish typically range in size from 8 to 12 inches, and it's not uncommon to experience excellent perch fishing with the possibility of limit catches. Anglers can take advantage of generous limits, with Michigan allowing 50 fish per angler and Ohio allowing 30 fish per angler.

The tackle used aboard Cast-A-Way Fishing Charters consists of 5-foot Ugly Stick ultra-light rods. These rods are equipped with either straight inline spreaders or half-moon spreaders, all of which are tipped with minnows.
