Smallmouth bass fishing in Lake Erie is currently fantastic, as their population is on the rise. Anglers are thrilled to discover the exhilaration of pursuing these high-jumping, feisty fish. If you're seeking an action-packed fishing experience, look no further! These bass jump, twist, and turn, making them one of the most tenacious fighters in all of Lake Erie.

 

The Western Basin of Lake Erie is home to abundant populations of Smallmouth bass, which can be found in various locations such as the islands and reefs. The presence of rocky structures in this area supports significant numbers of Smallmouth bass and walleye. Consequently, the rocky reef complex near my marina, situated in the near shore region, offers unparalleled fishing opportunities for Smallmouth bass and walleye that are renowned worldwide.

 

Our docking locations enable us to offer you incredible combo fishing trips. Currently, Smallmouth bass catches average 14–17 inches, with many larger fish in the 18-20 inch range. The best months for Smallmouth bass fishing are typically from May through September.

 

Tackle used Ugly stick fast action tip medium weight rods are best used when using Lake Erie tube baits and blade baits.

Tackle: All tackle is provided at no extra cost.

Keeping Fish: Anglers may keep fish on Cast A Way Fishing Charters outings. Size limits and possession limits are set by the MDNR and ODNR.

Fish Cleaning: Fish cleaning is available at an additional cost.

What To Bring: We recommend you bring the following items to make your trip as enjoyable as possible: drinks and snacks, appropriate clothes, sunscreen, hat, polarized sunglasses, camera and a cooler for your catch.

Gratuity: Please remember your Captain at the end of the day. A normal tip is 15% of the total value of your trip.
